Hi, I’m Mongo and I’m a 2-year-old Pugador (Lab/Pug mix), born approximately July 23, 2013, and I weigh about 30 lbs.! I’m super loving, adorable, and fun to be around! I was rescued from a busy boulevard in Rosarito, Mexico and I’m enjoying my home life in San Diego with my foster mom. I am a special needs guy in that I was diagnosed with glaucoma and I became fully blind in a matter of months. Upon the advice of an eye specialist, the rescue recently had my eyes removed to give me a pain-free, medication-free life (I hated the medications!). I should have a quick recovery and I’ll definitely enjoy my life without daily medications and eye drops. Don’t worry! This has not changed my friendly demeanor one bit. I’m a well-mannered gentleman who enjoys short walks with my humans and I love snuggling up with you on the couch afterward! I love people and I happily introduce myself by bonking into everyone I meet so they can pet me! For a blind guy, I’m not shy or timid at all, I’m really just a love-bug! I have a mellow, laid-back personality and I’m not a barker nor am I destructive when left alone.  I will happily chew on a stuffed doll while you're at work.  I’m great with other dogs, large or small, as well as cats, and would do best in a home with another canine pal to be my seeing-eye buddy. I also get along well with children. I’m housebroken and will happily sleep at the foot of your bed!
